Group Policies serious lockdown

Ok, our school is working on a project to lock down the windows xp pro computer with group policies instead of fortress 101. So, i need a detailed how-to on group policy lock down. I have googled it, and searched this site, but I get general stuff. I already know how to use group policies, but I need the most ADVANCED GP tutorials.

These will all be local GP that are part of an image that will go on all the computers, our school does not use a domain controller, but we have a Novell Netware 6.5 network. Any help would be great, or direction on were to go
