Group Policy

I have windows 2000 domain.
The policy is defined at the domain level.
The domain is stgeshita.com
the error observed at the client computer is as follows
“Windows cannot access the registry information at
\\stgeshita.com\sysvol\stgeshita.com\policies\{31b2f340-016d-11d2-945f-00c04fb984f9}\user\registry.pol with [5]”
The permission are checked and found ok.
Kindly suggest how to rectify the same.
