Certainly it is possible. You merely need to create an account, place it in the correct security groups and then clone tha account as needed.

A way to do it with scripts is available at http://www.microsoft.com/learning/books/itpro/feature/010803.asp

And another example is at http://www.examcram2.com/articles/article.asp?p=402458&seqNum=2&rl=1

Just as a note, GPO's is merely filtered by security groups and isn't applied directly to them.

This is easily possible. All u need to do is to create a new ou and place all the users that u need this feature in this ou and create a policy for this ou. To create a policy just right click this ou and in the properties u can find the group policy tab. Click new and do the required changed in that policy. In the default home directory just put the following
mapdrive:/%username%
mapdrive is the drive that will be the mapped folder obn the server or location that u want this folders of users to stay.%username% has to be as it is as when a user logs in the folder is automatically created.
Make sure that u create a script to map the shared folder on the server.
