Group Policy User Configuration affecting Computer Configuration

Hi there,

I am running Windows Server 2003 and am still new to most of this networking stuff so please bare with me. I have been experimenting with group policy to lock down machines we have here and I’m having trouble. From what I understand, user configuration under group policy should affect just the user that’s logged in right? When I make changes to user configuration and log out and log in as another user, the changes made on the first person’s account are sticking for the entire computer for whomever logs on…including administrators. Am I doing something wrong or am I totally off base in my line of thinking that user configuration should affect users?
