Groupshield process hogging CPU

By Integrity ·
Background:
I have a server running NT4 and Exchange 5.5, on top of which Groupshield is protecting my mail server and clients.
I noticed my servers CPU load was constantly at 100%, using Performance Monitor I viewed the processes and discovered aprocess named tkupd32 taking 98% CPU time.
I scanned the net and came up with the result that this is a process that Groupshield runs and the problem can be solved by a hotfix, my problem is I can find no reference to this hotfix anywhere on the Network Associates site or McAfee site.

My Question:
Where can I find or get hold of this hotfix or is there another way of solving this problem?

Jeff

You need your Groupshield grant number to get into the "Tech Support" site of NAI, which is where they stash all there patches and product updates.
And like you I have had this problem with Groupshield the update service hogs the processor, you areleft with one of two options. Find your grant number and call, or get a better Virus Scanner. I have personally worked with alot of the different player and I would solely recommend TrendMicro ScanMail or Sybari AntiGen.

Unfortunately the company I work for for some reason only want to deal with McAfee, this then did leave me with only one option, contact NAI in regards to obtaining the fix.
Funny thing is though they did give me the wrong fix first time round, I did however get the correct fix after talking to them again.
I would like to move to a better AV product but my hands are tied.
Thanks for the help.
