Well the powers that be decided they wanted us to migrate from Groupwise 5.5 to Exchange 2000 so here we are, stuck on a pretty major problem.
When migrating a mailbox in Groupwise that has some where in the neighborhood of 16,000 messages with many many subfolders(this is an estimate)over to Exchange.(Using the Microsoft migration utility) Once we open the users mail in Outlook 2000, more than half of his messages are missing. They never migrated.
No errors are made during the migration, the messages just don’t appear in Outlook. We also tried a migration from Groupwise to a PST file…same thing happens.
We found a Q article on Microsoft that talks about this very same type of problem migrating from Lotus Notes to Exchange, which says there is a bug in Microsoft’s migration utility so they wrote a patch. But no mention of a problem going from Groupwise to Exchange.
Any help would be appreciated.
