Groupwise 5.2

by sprocket . Updated 25 years ago

We are installing Groupwise 5.2, which we use on our network, onto laptops.

When I am logged onto a laptop as an administrator there is no problem running Groupwise. If I log on as a user (power user rights), when I try and run the program it shows the following message:

“Unable to load GWDTA1UK.DLL language resource file. Language resource file GWDTA1UK.DLL loaded”.

Its easy to work out that this is a UK and US DLL. Both admin and user are set up identical with everything set as UK.
We have no problem with this on the network. The UK DLL does not exist either on the laptop or network.

What I can’t understand is if the UK DLL doesn’t exist then the admin account should have the same message.

I have been told that the message, even though not an error message, cannot exist on a users laptop. As it may cause confusion.

Can anyone help me either fix this or find a work around. Loads of points available.
