GT Server / GT Client software by CMS

Has anyone ever heard of a software called GT Server \ GT Client by CMS (Computer Management Services) v. 1.64 from 2000. We use it to access legacy records from our old Financials program? I moved an old 2012 server to a new 2019 server and the program won’t launch. I have not found anything on Google about this software package.

Unclear what “moving a server” exactly is.

Did you install the program with the original setup program on your new server? Or did you just copy a few random files like .exe and .dll to the new server.

While I have installed too many servers and clients, more needs to be revealed as CMS and the GT doesn’t tell me what this software is.

However, these systems almost always require (over 99%) us to install the apps then perform some configuration afterwards.

Did you do that or did you try to copy files?

CMS apparently was purchased by INcode in the early 2000’s. Tyler Technologies then purchased Incode a few years ago. No one at Tyler has knowledge of the old products from 2000 so my only option is to pull the old data files out and import them into our Tyler Incode product. The data lives in a file format called .isam? Thanks

          ISAM is a database format.

But it’s not enough at times when we need to export or import data to a new system. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISAM lists quite a few apps that used it.

About “pull the data files out and import them into…”

If the new Tyler apps understand the files. Most of the time we have to find some written procedure about this. The following is an example from another app where we EXPORT the data to some common format (CSV, etc.) and then the new app IMPORTS from there. This is the way when the new app doesn’t understand or support importing from some other system’s data files.
