Guest DHCP access with Cisco IOS

by synapse_z . Updated 18 years, 9 months ago

Hello,

I have an 871W router that is setup as described in George Ou’s tutorial with only minor changes. One of the changes is that DHCP is not handled by the router but by a Win Server 2003 on the network. Computers on VLAN 10 (both wired/wireless) can recieve IP’s but those on VLAN 20 (Guest VLAN) cannot. I’ve tried removing the Guest-ACL and that still didn’t work. I’m thinking it might have something to do with the server being on a different VLAN in which case does that mean I have to create a trunk link between VLAN’s? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

P.S. I think I’ve done all the basic stuff like allowed bootp protocols and helper-address.
