I have a GX280 Small Form Factor, none of the capacitors are domed, and as of last night, it was functioning. The call received on it was that the fan was “extremely loud”. Naturally, it was advised that the other user take preventive steps to help cool it.
We picked it up this morning and it won’t boot, the POST code is one I’ve never heard.
It’s a low-tone beep, first off. Secondly, all the beeps are fairly long in duration–roughly a second each.
The pattern is 4-2 beeps. The MOBO is manufacturer, so probably a FOXCONN. The MOBO fan is out like a light, but the machine still gets to POST. Won’t enter BIOS, so I can’t say for certain what that version is. I’m stumped.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance for any help!
