    HAL problem when moving a system disk

    Is there a utility that allows NT4.0 to get past the hal errors when I move the harddrive to a different but identical system?

      different, but at the same time identical ?

      try booting NT using the /SOS switch (you might need to modify boot.ini) and check the drivers being loaded, it might give you a clue to where the problem lies.

        Thank you for your input.
        I was not aware of the /sos switch.
        It did not point me in the right direction on this one though.
