Not much help, you need to look for the updateD raid controller forthe hardware, you may have some luck downloading the drive controller for W2K,
The update that is performed by XP is to gather the updated files and libraries needed for setup and install
Once you start Install the window should give you hardware that may be a problem or not supported.
Good Luck

Hang on installing XP

Hi,

The following article was lifted from another site and is specifically for the KT7A Raid board.

WHY DOES THE BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH COME UP AFTER I INSTALL THE RAID DRIVER?

If the blue screen for Windows come up after you install the driver for the raid controller, then it could mean you have IRQ conflict on the RAID controller and other devices.

Some solutions are:
1) do not put any PCI cards that require IRQ on PCI slot number 5 because that PCI slot shares IRQ with the RAID controller.
2) Try not to use CD-ROMs, CD-RW, ZIP, and LS120 drives on the RAID controller connectorson the motherboard.
3) Double check the jumper settings on the hard disk. make sure it is set correctly.

But if thats all ok and you simply needthe XP drivers for the Raid controller, then look here...

http://fae.abit.com.tw/eng/download/driver/i_adapter.htm

(remove spaces in the above URL)

Its in the "HPT37X on-board motherboards" section - yours is a HPT370

Put these drivers on a floppy and when the install process says hit F7 to add extra drivers do that, and insert the floppy.

It asks you for the floppy later on in the process to.

I had to do a similar process for my K7T266 Pro raid motherboard and it worked fine.

Hope this helps,
Cheers,
Tim.

If Tim's suggestion dosen't take care of your problem, I suggest you install XP get things running, and then download and install updates.

I have seen it hang and cycle through driver install when attempting to use updated files.

I ended up starting over from scratch in order to get things to install.
