By raghuram84 ·
hi peers,
i have some problem with my system.
suddenly System will stop and shows up a message saying
"Memory Dump- if you a facing this problem for the first time then restart otherwise...."

main is a SATA 80GB hard disk.

when i remove SATA data cable from the mother and connect to other slot then it will work.

So can you please tell me whether problem is with Hard disk or with the motherboard slots, and also way out for the problem.

thank you

May be neither

A memory Dump is the Physical Dump of the Contents in the RAM it has nothing to do with the HDD normally. But if you had the rest of the Error Message it would help no end.

As for the SATA drive it may be connected to the Wrong SATA Connector the First HDD should be connected to the Number 1 SATA Connector. However on most M'Boards this isn't an issue but when in doubt read the Destruction Manual for an Explanation of how its supposed to be configured. If it's not configured correctly change it to the M'Boards Makers Specifications.
