Hard Drive Data Recovery

Please tell me how can we recover data from hard drive which was formatted. Is there any software available which can recover data from formatted harddrive?

There are some Disaster Recovery companies that specialize in that kind of Data Recovery.

It's VERY important that you DO NOT USE THE DRIVE. Do not read or write anything more on it until you contact a few of these companies.

Depending on how important the data is (e.g. how much $ you're willing to spend), some companies can even read the latent magnetic signature underneath the current top magnetic layer.

Check out ontrack, I beleive at a cost they can get most anything back.

You only need to use those companies if your hard drive is dead. Formatting doesn't erase a hard drive it just marks the drive as empty.

Try Norton Lost&Found, Unerase, Recover2000... just do a search on the net and you'll come up with a few ideas

Just use EasyRecovery Professional from Ontrack, it's software that can recover basically even the 3rd or 4th layer of formatting. It works for me, and it's simple to use too.

Above only applied if you format your drive, but if the drive is dead or stop spinning or reading, then look for those recovery center.
