    Hard drive file search

Is it possible to restore Fat16 files that were erased on the hard drive while installing Windows 2000? After backing up my program files in Win98, I installed Windows 2000. Those files were erased during the reformatting process and now the backupdisk is missing. Any solutions would be much appreciated.

Win2K requires either FAT32 or NTFS. During the install, Win2K will reformat the hardrive to either of these two file types, your choice. Your Fat16 files are gone forever.

      Sorry,

      Paul.
