Hard drive locked

Hi,

I have a Wester Digital hard drive that has a hardware lock on it. Most data recovery programs do not even recognize the hard drive but some of them do and request a password to unlock it.

Note: The hard drive is not broken and I am not talking about windows password.

I need to remove this lock, any ideas?

Go to Western Digital’s website and download a low level format utility, but realize that you will risk losing data on the drive.

I had already thought of that, however I am trying to find some other options or at least find the right sectors to low level format so I can recover the remaining data.

check the hard drive utility at list it my have the software enable it .

No problem all you need to do is download the HDD Unlock Wizard go to this webside http://www.hddunlock.com/download/
