Upon doing a cold bootup of my HP Pavilion 6530, my hard drive “groans” and sounds kind of sickly. It is closing in on 3 years old; do you think my hard drive is on its last legs? Someone suggested that perhaps the screws holding the hard drive in have loosened, but I rather doubt this. Once the computer has booted up, the groaning stops. I have had A+ training, and was told that this kind of noise usually indicates a hard drive going bad. No other symptoms at this point. Thank you!
