Hi,
I am trying to install windows9x on a PC. When I boot it up, the system says “Primary Disk 1, disk 0 etc could not be found”.
I have checked the connection of the HD to the motherboard and it looks firmly connected.
The BIOS was set to AUTO on the Types of hard drive.
Then I tried to boot up from Floppy disk and when it was started up from A: drive, I just couldn’t change the drive letter to C: (which is what I thought would have happen)
I have checked the jumper setting and it is on master (which is correct as there is only 1 HD).
Could it be a dead HD or something else that I have overlooked.
