Hard drive security – read-only access possible with XP

I have two internal hard drives in my home pc, runnign windows XP SP2.
On the second hard drive I have the family’s photos. I’d like to allow read-only access to this drive so that my 3 y.o. son cannot accidently delete them. I usually have the “guest” account running.
