I just moved my ide drives’s os (Win XP Pro) and contents to a new sata drive using maxtor’s utility. Now MS updater fails to apply updates to office or outlook files stating “invalid drive letter” error. I attempted to reassign the drive to a different letter “H” but since the OS is in use, it’s not allowed. I also removed and reinstalled office (in vain), but that did not fix the error. Any idea’s what I can do to fix the updateing error?
