I have two hard drives setup on my computer and i cant get the computer to see both drives like i use to. For my system to even boot with both drive both must be set to cs with the boot drive put in the secondary postion on the ide cable and my storage drive(the hd my system wont see in place of the master postion on the ide cable. The storage drive is also set as cs. This in no way makes since to me because my system will not boot any other way. Ex master and slave setup on the pins of the hd with the boot drive being set as master of course also the boot drive is placed at the end of the ide cable in the master postion. The rest is self explanatory. I well aware there is some problems with the storage but before i was going to with it if possible. I had somethings i need to remove from the storage drive.
Is there 3rd party software i can use to retrieve the files. Also on another not even though the drives allow me to boot i cant even see the storage drive in the disk management only the boot drive.i appreciate any help
