you're doing what I used to do. I had two copies of XP, one on each of my two drives. To access one or the other I'd reboot, enter the BIOS and turn off one drive or the other. Your pc will only 'see' the OS on your second drive if the first drive is turned off. If you want the second drive to be the main drive and have access to data on both drives you'll have to swap the SATA drive cables.
It is called GAG. More here: http://gag.sourceforge.net/ It is very good for switching between harddrives. Read more on the software from the link, it does not overwrite your operating system. You can add an icon and text in to the boxes for the different operating system(s) on your drive(s). Put the software on a floppy and boot from it. It is very easy to use. The big plus is that you can also add a password to it to be more secure. I an running it now and it is great. You cam have up to 9 operating systems on your computer, Linux, Mac (if possible), Windows (all flavours). Give it a go, oh it is FREE.
If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem. Also please exercise your best judgment when posting in the forums--revealing personal information such as your e-mail address, telephone number, and address is not recommended.
