HARD WARE SOMETIMES NOT DETECTED

my Pc config are
pentium 2.4GHz..,
two 80 Gb HDD. SAMSUNG AND WESTERN DIG'

Here the prob' is . i'v loaded the OS in both the HD .. ANd by using the HD priority i use selecting my OS and enter in it ,

Here one of the HD is not detected while connected to the MB, and the Fan stop spinning when i connected ! but i unplug the particular HD the other HD starts working .... so i came to know tat the prob with tat HD .. but not !!! i'v chekd it with other Pc it really works !

SO here THE MB IS GOOD AND BOTH THE HD IS ALSO GOOD .

but y it is not detected in my PC>???
i dnt want to format my HD bcoz it works on other PC and i hv IMPT DATA's in it .


BOTH my processor fan and SMPS fan stops spin wen i plug in to my Pc...

PLs help me out im nt able to use that HD!!

Did you check the cable? If you're using the wrong type of cable or the drive is jumpered wrong for that type of cable, it won't work.

Also, you said fans stop when this particular HDD is plugged in. Try another power plug, if there is a different one to use, and see if that makes a difference. You could have a short in that plug. Check also that the plug is completely in the slot all the way.

Report back what you find.
