Just ran across one H@&L of a perplexing problem. I have a client that has a 486 100DX4 that he uses just as a basic file keeper. There is no other programs except for DOS 6.22. The only way that the computer will boot is thru a bootdisk. The bios recognizes the drive and is set for c:, then a:. There is only one partition and it is active. I have used fxdisk, format and 6.22 install with no luck. This problem exist with three different drives. I carry a basic 4G drive with Win98SE for troubleshooting drive problems. It will boot to this drive. Any ideas?
