My PC operates in normal fashion with two harddrives. When I place a suspect harddrive (80 gig Seagate), in place of the secondary drive, the PC will not power up. Fan will attempt to move and motherboard will power back down, as if the harddrive is shorting out the system. Is there any other way to recover the data without going to expensive data recovery services?
