I own a Dell workstation 360, i just bought it like 2 weeks. One day I downloaded a software from 8thwonder.com what happened was my Norton antivirus with latset update detected a virus name .However the antivirus stated that it was unable to quarantine neither repair the downloader.trojan virus. No problem seems to shows during that time until the next reboot on the next day, it states that i have to strike f1 to continue or strike f2 to enter setup. I checked the Bios, and surprisingly the harddrive was undetectable.It was specifically stated in the bios that the harddrive is ‘unknown’. The point is now the operating system cannot boot from the harddrive because it’s not even detected in the bios. I tried checking everything from cable failure to resetting the bios, change the jumper setting from primary master to primary slave, i tried everything it’s still undetectable until i put another bootable (working) harddrive and funnily it works. It was accessible. Nothing seems wrong but worst afterwards i removed the primary slave (infected harddrive) the primary master is next unbootable.I scanned with norton antivirus previously but i found nothing as well.Would you please help me with this situation.
