I am new to nagios and i am trying to plan and deploy the NAGIOS in our network.could anyone please help me with some suggestion. Thanks.

what is the minimum Hardware and software requirements to install and configure Nagios.
&
where exactly do i have to install this machine in the network and how many nodes can it monitor
