Hardware based load sharing

By eqrools ·
My company has begun to look into a hardware solution for load sharing. In particular I am looking at Radwares Linkproof and F5?s Link Controller as potential solutions. So far I am leaning towards F5, but I would love to hear feedback from anyone who has any experience with either device. I?d also like to hear if anyone has experiences with other hardware based solutions.

Have used F5...

What size enviroment did you use it in? Also how much bandwidth were you running through it?

Used it for production web data servers....

...servicing roughly 100 clients (by that I mean companies..not sure on the amount of actual accounts that have access). We have about 3 dozen or so servers getting load balanced.

In terms of speed, we have a couple of DS3 lines coming into the data center.

For what it is worth, F5 support has been pretty helpful when we've spoken with them.
