    Has Anyone Seen This?

    Locked

    by ken g. ·

    Hey all,

I’m not even sure I’m in the right group for this question because I’m thinking it’s security related but who know’s right?

    So here it is:

There is a text file called “twacker.log” on my C: drive with these details:

    TWAcquire entry
    OpenDS success
    TWXferMech
    DoMemTransfer
    Disable DS
    DS Disabled
    CloseDS

Do any of you gentlemen know what this is, or is it just another rouge .txt file from one of many software creators? TIA

If you don’t have a third party app installed that is called twacker (or something to that nature) DELETE IT!!! Deleting a file will not make your system run any diff.

      “Twacker” TWAIN Diagnostic Utility
Copies of Draftsman PLUS 32 shipped after Feb. 5, 1997 include a utility called “Twacker” for testing your TWAIN interface. This utility does not install from the floppies during a “Typical” installation, but can be installed at any time by doing a “Custom” installation from the disks and installing the entire software package. (We recommend doing an “uninstall” of Draftsman PLUS 32 before re-installing the software with Twacker. See your user manual for details on the Uninstall proceedure.) When you contact Arbor Image Tech Support for assistance with a TWAIN-related problem, you may be asked to install and run Twacker.

ken , it is not a virus trace . it is a boot up log file for the TWAIN driver of your scanner or office jet . I say you leave it .
