Here?s my hosting horror story with IXWebhosting
I’m not very technical and after shopping around and looking at various reviews, I settled for IX WEBHOSTING with a shared server solution until my startup could afford its own server. They seemed very user friendly and service oriented, they even put this blond chick “Erika” on their home page etc.
I hosted my e-mail with them and started to have issues: I could never tell if people received my e-mails because their mail server is also used by EXTREMELY ACTIVE SPAMMERS! And so I get blocked by recipients? servers. In other words, if, like me, you were smart enough to use their service, every time you send and e-mail you have to call the people you sent it to say ?did you receive my e-mail??
Now for the conspiracy theory part: I have raised this issue for several months now and while they have been responsive on many other items, they have (purposefully?) let this drag with answers, after more than a month such as (and I quote)
?We are terribly sorry for all inconveniences you were faced with due to the delayed replies and time it took to process your inquiry. The procedure you are requested about usually takes not more than 24 hours to be processed. That is why we do kindly ask you to keep us updated on Tuesday?
Then
Unfortunately, on the control panel that you re located on now, there is no mail server available that is less-loaded
Then
I have set watiting status for this Ticket. Please update it on Friday
And of course, on Thursday they ask me to set my server to something an on Friday they ask me to set it to something else
BUT WAIT! IT GETS BETTER,
After having me bounce around for 2 month, the setting they ask me to enter are EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE ONES I HAVE NOW!
STAY AWAY FROM THEMMMMMMMMM!!!!!
