HD Recovery

My hard drive makes a loud clicking noise and isn't recognized POST, I can't find my top 20 ways to revive a hard drive doc that was published a while back. Can anyone lend some suggestions?

Sorry but I think that your hard drive is a gonner. The read arm is what your hearing and is bad. No fix for this that I am aware of.

The clicking is the death rattle of the drive. If it isn't recognized in the bios then it is 99% unrecoverable. There are services that will take the platters out and recover data for you but at an outrageously expensive cost. If you can get it to be recognized as a slave then you might recover data but agin it sounds like that won't happen.
