I have a Segate Baracuda 500 gb HDD that is causing issues. It began when a HP a6570a I was working on wouldn’t boot past the BIOS splash screen. I troubleshooted it down to an issue with HDD (go figure)and I am now attempting to get the data off the HDD, but I am experiencing some difficulty. I have docked the HDD into an external docking station but all it does is spin up. It doesn’t show up in Device Manger, Disk Management or Explorer (In XP, Vista and Windows 7). I have also tried viewing it in Linux with no luck. Any ideas?
