I am trying to install Win XP Pro on a hp dv2000 laptop. It already has XP home edition and I need to install XP Pro but the computer stops and says cannot find hard drive. I have tried using F6 but I do not have any drivers and I know BIOS is the latest. Can anyone help I need XP Pro urgent for my 70-271 studies? Hp are offering drivers that can be installed during Windows Text mode process but the drivers are available only on floppy drive which they know most laptops do not have. I have been intouch with them and all they have said they do not support the change of OS so they cannot provide futher help. The laptop is 1 month old I would later like to upgrade to vista but if I cannot even install XP Pro what are my chances with VIsta. If anyone know a way around obtaining the drivers then please advice me where to get them.
