Hdmi switcher

I be am trying to find a hdmi switcher for our church. I want to be able to switch inputs from 2 different computers to one display. I bought a cheap switcher but the problem I have is when I switch displays the other computer no longer recognizes the display so I have to reset the program when I switch back. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

That sounds like an issue with that PC. However there might be a workaround if you can’t fix the PC. Here’s what I would try.

From the PC that is giving trouble, send the video to a HDMI SPLITTER first then from that to the switch. Why I do this is these HDMI SPLITTERs fake there is a display connected at all times.
