The latest version of Windows Media Player – Windows Media Player 8 – will be bundled with the forthcoming Windows XP – the upgrade to Windows 95, 98, and ME. Media Player 8 will run only on XP. Media Player 7 will continue to be available as a free, separate download for users of other versions of Windows.
