Keeping a Powerpoint presentaion running on a loop with fresh data stream.

By jerry.pinto ·
Looking for help, We are looking to have a powerpoint presentation on a networked computer loop continuously. We want to also be able to update the information. My thoughts were to setup Excel files that the updated information can be uploaded to the presentation. Weather its one file or multiple. We want the presentation to be played, and as some of our staff has updates, we want them to access the file, add in their update, so the next time the information loops on the presentation it grabs the new saved data. This may be a simple macro, and if so please point the way to some guidance in writing this. We have common files that everyone can access, the Idea is to have the presentation give a live viewing of jobs on the go, when information is required for update it can be added into cells in the excel file (or other some other application?) saved, and the next time the presentation displays that page it will have the updated information. Any help or advice would be appreciated. We are looking into digital signage for a solution but that could be a much more lengthily avenue, also trying to figure it out for myself. Thanks a bunch.
