I have just downloaded Vista SP2 and now my PC will not boot.
Yesterday Windows Update said that the download was available so I ran the update and ran the usual install. At the end of install it said it needed to reboot so I left it to it and went to bed.
This morning the system is in a loop on boot halting at crcdisk.sys and rebooting.
I have tried loading last good config, safe mode, safe mode with command prompt (which showed the halt on crc.sys) nothing will get me into windows.
I have also tried booting from the DVD and running a system repair but this also gets stuck on boot when restarted.
Running 34bit Vista Home Premium
I have also read that AVG could interfere with the install. I did not disable this before install.
Any ideas?
