help about my printer

By annaowen10 ·
i have an epson epl 6100L printer. but the printer is unusable now. once i entered paper into it, it will come out with strange sound and a warning message like this. " please remove any jammed paper from the papaer tray....". But the problem is, there is no any jammed or stuck paper in my printer. what should i do?

It seems the paper sensor at the registration and/or the sensor at the output is having problem. Either the actuator is jam or small pieces of paper stuck there.

The strange noise could the the paper have problems feeding in, damming or the roller is having problems feeding the paper through.
I would suggest calling a Printer repairer , some will give you a free workshop quotation.

A strange sound (grinding, groaning, or whining) usually means stuck gears, or a motor that is failing, but could also mean a PCB issue (not applying enough voltage to turn a motor). If you cannot find stuck paper, look for jammed gears. If you can't see any jammed gears, you usually are better served to replace the printer altogether, since technology costs are coming down steadily, and with a new printer it will come with warranty, usually at least 1 year.
