Using Access 2000, when I attempt to copy and paste records from a table in one database to a table in another under Windows 2000, the “copy in progress” bar freezes and the paste button is dimmed even though I’ve selected the target row properly. This only happens when the file is opened in the usual manner (file, open, etc.). However, when the file is opened from the list of previously opened files that you?re presented with when Access starts, the problem disappears! This only occurs in Win2000 ? no other programs and/or copy/paste procedures are affected.
