I’m going to buy a SBLive!Player5.1 (Europeen denomination). I’m looking for speakers so that I can hear DolbyDigital5.1 and AC-3 sound from DVD. I have the Pioneer DVD 16x/40x on an Athlon900 + HerculesGeForce2GTS32Mo.
I hesitate between the spekers Creative DTT2200 (and not 2500) and DTT3500 (much more expensive). The 3500 have an AC3 decoder, the 2200 not. Does the SBLivePlayer5.1 can decode AC3? Some say “yes”, others say “no”. Can I have AC3 sound with the DTT2200? I read that 2200 does not have the famous Digital DIN connector : does that mean I will not have AC3 with 2200?
I know it is very easy to lose AC3 between the DVD and the speakers, that’s why I ask before buying.
