HI, major problem... User had a major problem, and only way to fix was to re-install XP..
So loaded a ghost image, only forgot 1 thing, they had their Outlook PST file in a different folder form where other data was copied from.. It is critical data.

What is the simplest way to get the data back? Knowing that i have already installed office again on the image before realising the PST file was lost.
Help would be appreciated

Try downloading GetDataBack for NTFS from ( I've used it on reimaged drives and recovered user data. You'll need a test bed to install the app on; mount the drive to be recovered as a secondary drive. Cost is $79.00.

The free download allows you to test data recovery (but doesn't actually allow recovery). If it works and you can get to the PST file, you can then purchase the registration key online and recover the file.

Hey, thanks...
Actually just found that software myself.. But unfortunately, i think the install went straight over the old file.. .. or at least the office/outlook part off it...
