Help for Crystal Reports report!

By mariana.enescu ·
I designed a report that can be printed immediatly to printer or later, by exporting the report to a pdf file. I have a strange situation: from pdf the caracters are a little bit smaller! Do you have any ideea?

What font type and sizes are you using for your crystal report? Also FYI when making a crystal report what ever your default printer is set at is what crystal will determine how it will look. So say you have a report that you run and the fonts look all funny, check your default printer set up and make sure that you don't have some wierd misc printer set up as default.

We have thousands of crystal reports that we run here and if I happen to have a label printer selected as my default printer than it throws the alignment and font size all off on my report.

Additional question, are you passing any variables over to the report? Because you can make a little vb6 program that will automaticly print your report with or without certain variables, without haveing to convert it to a pdf file.

You don't mention your version of CR, but this has been a known issue of the pdf export since about version 8. There have been several patches and hotfixes issued including one for CRXI. Should be able to find it :
