I inherited a Windows 2000 Server network and I am having headaches now. Here’s what’s happening… The Main Server which has all the data is giving in to the backup server which is mostly used as a print server. Here’s what I mean… it seems the backup takes over as the master browser (even though it is not set to) and users cannot get to files on the main server, even with the computer browser service disabled on the backup, it still does it. If I reboot the backup, the users can access the files on the main server for awhile. I usually have to reboot the backup half a dozen times a day.
f anyone can help, I would deeply appreciate it.
Thanks
Conrad
