Hi,

I found the following explanantion and resolution to your problem at...

http://www.eventid.net/display.asp?app=WebEvents&eventid=5019

(remove spaces in the above URL)

This occurs due to an invalid API call made by Windows NT. Download and install the NetShield 4.5 Service Pack to resolve these errors. The service pack is under Product Upgrades at http://www.nai.com/naicommon/download/introduction/default.asp. There is further information in the README.TXT file for the service pack for registry changes that need to be made if the problem persists"

Cheers,
Tim.

You may be getting this error because only one virus protection program can protect a machine at a time.

Are you running Norton Antivirus as well?

Norton is the dominent software, so McAfee crashes. There is no resolution for this. But, if this is the case, you don't need both. Just run one or the other.

Another option:
---------

McAfee requires that you install Service Pack 1 for VirusScan software before you install this HotFix. You can download the Service Pack from the McAfee web site at:
http://www.mcafeeb2b.com/naicommon/download/upgrade/login.asp

You must supply your customer grant number or user name and password to access this site.
