Help Menu

On one of workstation in our Network which has win98 installed. The Help menu in the start menu is not working. When we click on Help nothing happens. what's the problem, and how can i get this action back.

Hi,
Check to make sure that WINHELP.EXE is in your C:\WINDOWS directory. (Or wherever you installed windows.) I had that exact same problem on a NT server here and found that winhelp.exe was somewhere else. Don't know how it got there, just movedit back to where it should be and it worked fine. Go figure...

For Win 98, not only verify that Winhelp.exe is there, but also Winhelp32.exe. You can use SFC.exe to extract and install a fresh copy of these from the CD.
If they are, then download and install the latest Hhctrl.ocx file at the following link:http://msdn.microsoft.com/workshop/author/htmlhelp/

Click on the "Visit HTML help Download page".
Then click on the first link to download and install this.
Hope that does it.
