I’m a software engineer by degree and have been a manager of systems development & database for the past 10 years. My CIO has offered me the infrastructure and take over as director of technical services. What’s your expert opinion as to where I should begin? I’m thinking I should first get my arms around the existing infrastructure and learn from there. Any suggestions on a better path forward are appreciated. Thanks in advance.
