    by aluong82 ·

I believe I have a X700 ATI video card..Intel D915PBL motherboard. My main problem is my pc can’t seem to detect my video card. It’s a PCI-E slot. My OS is windows XP. I’ve tried everything. My BIOS doesn’t have a on board graphics controller. I can’t install any drivers for it either. pls help.

don’t have any on-board video capabilities, you will need to obtain another known good video card (any old PCI cards around?–friend to borrow one from?), install same and boot the system. If the X700 card is good, you can then reinstall the drivers, reboot and reinstall the old card.

If the temp video card works, but reinstalling the drivers for the original card doesn’t, that card is probably faulty–replace.
