Help! Windows XP won’t start

by buckadamzzz . Updated 18 years, 1 month ago

Hi,
My PC won’t start in Windows XP or Safe mode. If I try to start my pc normally, it gets to the Windows XP logo screen with the blue progress line at the bottom, but not past that. The blue cursor continues moving indefinetely.

I have tried to start the pc in Safe mode, but that won’t work either. I run through the necessary steps and finally come to a blank/black screen with a white cursor at the top-left part of the screen. That’s it.

ALso tried to start in a couple other modes, such as Last known good config and Repair mode, but nothing works.

By the way, my problem may have something to do with the fact that I just installed Norman antivirus software while already having an old and unrenewed Norton antivirus software installed on my pc.

Please help!

Thank you in advance,

Buck
