Help with an iPhone 8 repair

    by devineski ·

I have replaced the front screen on an IPhone 8. It was working. I shut the phone down and then I replaced the back glass. When I turned the phone back on the screen will not illuminate. I can tell the phone is working because it rings when I call it. I used a hair dryer not a heat gun to remove the glass. Any suggestions as to what could have gone wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

But if the screen isn’t working the Ribbon Cable that goes to the Main Board is either not attached and locked in or the Clip has broken on the Main Board.

The Front Screen has several components which have to be connected as they do different things. The one you’ll see is the actual screen and the other which you will not see is the Digitizer which reads the movements over the screen so you can use your fingers to do what you want.
