i’m continuing to have this problem with the our website. our domain name to our network and our website are the same so this conflicts when our internal network try to get to our website. i was going add a dns record to point to the web server but then our website is hosted by earthlink and they have it on a web farm, which changes ip all the time. so that’s out of the question. i’ve heard somewhere that i can create a local host file to point to the local domain but i’m unsure of how to do this. do i do this on the dns server or on every client?
I’ve tried changing the dns to point to our isp dns… that worked fine except it takes forever for clients to log onto the network since it can’t register our domain name. can anybody give me suggestion to correct this problem? this is all new to me to how-to or knowledge base would be great. thanks!
